India Hemsworth, 14, was the only girl competing in a bull riding event this week and won. Her father Chris Hemsworth shared footage of the ride and called her a ‘savage.’
India Hemsworth, the 14-year-old daughter of Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky, won a bull riding competition as the only girl entered. Her father posted footage of the ride on Instagram on September 30, calling it a “proud moment” and describing his daughter as “savage.”
The video shows India riding a bucking bull to completion. Hemsworth wrote that she was the sole female competitor and took home first place.
A Pattern of High-Risk Pursuits
The bull riding win is part of a broader trend. India and her twin brothers, Sasha and Tristan, 12, regularly participate in extreme sports. Hemsworth posted a photo series in July from Costa Rica, noting that his children “continue to crush all the extreme, adrenaline pumping activities no matter where we are.”
India also competes in BMX racing. In November 2025, Hemsworth posted footage of her jumping and thanked an instructor for teaching her the technique.
Screen Work, On Hold
India appeared as Love in 2022’s Thor: Love and Thunder, playing the adopted daughter of her father’s character. Christian Bale, who co-starred in the film, said she did a “wonderful job” in her debut and noted that Hemsworth stayed off-camera during her scenes, checking in and giving thumbs up.
Hemsworth recalled that directing his daughter on set mirrored home life. “It was just like when I’m at home, trying to tell her to do anything, she’s like, ‘Pfft, no, I’ll do it my way,'” he told Marvel.com at the time.
Bale described one emotional scene in which his tears accidentally fell on India’s face, causing her visible discomfort. Despite the moment, he said she remained “absolutely magnificent” throughout filming.
Why Hemsworth Is Resisting a Second Role
Despite the successful debut, Hemsworth told Entertainment Tonight in June 2023 that he does not want India to pursue acting full-time yet. “I want her to have a childhood, and I think so does she,” he said. “There’s plenty of time, sweetie. Go to school, horse ride, have fun, be a kid.”
He explained that once a career in entertainment begins, “it’s pretty hard to get off, and you miss a lot of things.”
For now, India’s focus appears to remain on rodeo, BMX, and other high-intensity sports rather than Hollywood.
