Bill Belichick has won six Super Bowls, coached some of the greatest teams in NFL history, and now spends his Saturdays patrolling a college sideline in Chapel Hill. And yet somehow, on October 3, the biggest storyline out of UNC’s home game against Notre Dame wasn’t the Tar Heels or the Irish. It was a pink silk corset.
Okay, Let’s Talk About The Outfit
Jordon Hudson showed up to watch her 74-year-old boyfriend coach from the sidelines wearing a pastel pink corset over matching wide-leg trousers, because apparently “game day casual” means something very different when you’re 25 and used to pageant stages. She topped it off with a rose-colored, bedazzled handbag shaped like an actual football (I need one, not gonna lie) and oversized sunglasses perched on perfectly straight brown hair. This wasn’t a quiet moment in the stands either. She was right there on the sideline, visible, impossible to miss.

And look, this isn’t some one-off thing. Hudson has basically turned Belichick’s UNC games into her own personal runway since he took the job back in 2024. We’ve seen her in snakeskin pants that practically slithered off the page. We’ve seen bold prints, bodysuits, the whole nine yards. She clearly knows the cameras are there, and she clearly doesn’t care who’s watching her watch football. It recalls another viral style moment, when a simple pair of jeans broke the internet in Italy and proved one wardrobe piece can dominate a whole news cycle.
The Corset Specifically Though
Here’s what gets me. A corset at a football game is a choice. It’s structured, it’s dramatic, it demands attention in a way that a hoodie and jeans never will. Pair that with wide-leg trousers in the exact same shade and you’ve basically built an outfit that photographs better than most red carpet looks. Someone put real thought into this. This wasn’t thrown together in the car on the way to Kenan Stadium.
So Why Does Everyone Keep Talking About Her?
This is where it gets a little more complicated than “hot girlfriend wears cute outfit.” Hudson and Belichick have been together since 2021, which means she was 20 and he was 69 when things started. That gap alone was always going to generate noise. Add in the fact that she’s a former Miss Maine USA contestant, decades younger than him, and suddenly on the sideline of his college games every single week, and you’ve got a recipe for nonstop speculation.

The two of them have repeatedly pushed back on rumors that she’s somehow steering his football decisions, which, fair, I don’t think a sideline outfit tells us anything about personnel moves or play calling. But the whole situation keeps feeding itself. The more visible she is, the more people assume she’s involved in things she says she isn’t. The more she denies it, the more visible she becomes anyway because, well, people are curious.
“She’s just there to support him,” is basically the line fans keep hearing, over and over, every single week.
The Thing Nobody Wants To Say Out Loud
Belichick is one of the most private, buttoned-up figures in modern sports history. The man famously answers interview questions in like four words. He’s not exactly known for warmth or showmanship. So when his girlfriend shows up looking like she just walked off a photoshoot, in silk, in corsetry, on a college football sideline surrounded by students in school colors, the contrast is going to grab attention whether anyone wants it to or not.
I think that’s really what’s driving all this chatter. It’s not really about the corset itself. It’s about the collision between two completely different worlds. One is a 74-year-old coaching legend who built his reputation on being boring on purpose. The other is a 25-year-old who seems to genuinely enjoy being seen. Put them on the same sideline, under the same cameras, and of course people are going to stare.
What This Actually Means
Honestly? I think Hudson knows exactly what she’s doing, and I don’t think that’s a bad thing. Dressing memorably at a public event isn’t a crime, and nobody’s forcing anyone to watch. If she wants to wear a pink silk corset to a football game, that’s her business and frankly it’s more interesting than another sea of team hoodies.
But I don’t think this stops anytime soon. Every week Belichick coaches, Hudson shows up, and every week she shows up in something that gets photographed and talked about, we’re going to be right back here having this exact same conversation. The outfits will change. The questions about the age gap and her role in his career probably won’t. That’s just where we are with this one, for better or worse.
